First Lady Michelle Obama revealed a hidden White House truth: If she's happy, chances are, so is her husband.
"Throughout my life, I've learned to make choices that make me happy and make sense for me. Even my husband is happier when I'm happy," she said in an interview with Prevention magazine, which hits newsstands next week.
"So I have freed myself to put me on the priority list and say yes, I can make choices that make me happy, and it will ripple and benefit my kids, my husband and my physical health.
"That's hard for women to own. We're not taught to do that," she added. "It's a lesson that I want to teach my girls."
When the interviewer noted that President Obama looks at his wife as if she's the most beautiful woman on the planet, the First Lady said, "I feel fortunate as a woman to have a husband who loves me and shows me in every way."

Beautiful...so true that we as women need to put ourselves first - if we're not well, everything else will fall apart...women are the backbone of our families and in my opinion, society as a whole.

I am Very Blessed to say I've learned that lesson too & my fiance appreciates me as well. He lights up when I am doing things that I've dreamed about.
Although I am Proud of myself, it felt really good hearing him say he's proud of me too. He saw the hard & long journey, while it hurt him to see it. He continued to dedicate himself to make sure I got better. He understood, he cared & had my back 110%. For that I am Grateful.
I am almost in tears just thinking about it.

This is beautiful. I know that whoever God has saved for me will understand this. In the meantime, I'm going to continue working on putting myself first.
