Not sure I understand you but will say that my reason for being single is not that I have "crazy standards" its that I am mature enough to know what I want and don't want in a relationship. Also I am not willing to compromise myself just to say I have a man..

 

I will let you know if my standards work once Mr. Right comes along..but what works for one person may not work for the next

People that use their preferences as standards are the ones that end up single.  For example i prefer a woman that is  5'1-5'5. but my girl is 5'9.  If i would have used my preference as a standard i would not have her.

Girl just because someone is in a relationship it doesn't mean they have standards they can be in a shitty ass relationship you never know......I'm single because I haven't found what i want yet my standards arent out of this world. There actually pretty reasonable.

What makes you think people in relationships don't have standards???? 

I think people throw around the word "standards" too easily.  There is a difference in standards and preferences... 

For instance, a man making a certain income but doing whatever else he chooses as long as you are paid is a "preference"

On the other hand, a dude making good money and steadily on the rise that appreciates you, respects you, and wants to only do you is a "standard"

You have to have some type of standards or you will just be a damn fool. How you going to be with a man who doesn't have an education, job, a car, a place to rest his head, a ssn, or even a full set of teeth. So you have to have some type of acceptable requirements to establish what you like. It is not the process of the standards because if you think about it growing up we take on the standards that our parents tell us to. My mom told me to marry rich, LOL. I met a rich boy in high school and one day we got into a minor disagreement and he put me out of his car on the side of the highway. He then called me a few weeks later and tried to buy me back. So I learned I want to be with a man who has money, but will not try and buy me, can control his anger, who is polite and will not talk down to me even if he is mad. I learned from my ex that a matching sex drive is important. So you learn your standards along the way. If you don’t have any then you might as well be a hoe because you are getting f***** and disrespected anyways. Not being harsh, but I am trying to answer as best as I can. not really sure of the question, LOL!

Whats not to understand. Do standards really work? A lot of people have a man but he's not really makin them happy but they stay becauae who really wants to be alone. He may not make as much $ or drive the car or have the body or bad sex he's insecure abusive a cheater a liar whatever BUT they have a man vs me i dont cause im NOT willing to put up with bs. Of course a job a car his teeth & etc is there what idiot would date a bum if they're not a bum. Basically taking and dealin with whats presented to u instead of waiting for what u really want.

Another way to look at it is this does have standards and big no no's help u get and keep the man or does goin with the flow and bein cool not trippin do?
