So this topic has been discussed on here several times, from what sites to check out to what to expect.  I wanted to chime in with a few of my recent experiences.  First up, my financial background, which is important to the story because it explains why I started my search.  I'm not wealthy to the point where money ain't a thang, but I do well for myself. When I first moved to LA I got tired of consistently meeting the struggling artist type (not condemning them, but they're just not for me) who had issues with anything I wanted to do that required spending money like going to basketball games and concerts. 

This began my interest in the sugar daddy world.  Here were men who were open about their financial success and not shying away from spending money when in the company of a woman nor screaming "gold digger" anytime you suggested an activity that cost over $75 for the evening  (typical cost of dinner and a movie). I approached it two-fold, online and meeting guys out.  These are the problems that I've run into most often:

Meeting guys online

1. They can be flaky, a lot of calls/texts that end up going nowhere.

2. They often do not look the same in person.

3. Many of them are lying about what they have and what they're looking for. 

Meeting guys in person

1. Depending on the setting, they will go harder to impress you on that initial meeting (usually cause their friends are around), then it kinda fizzles when you're one on one.

2. Can be trickier to figure out which guys are into the lifestyle.

General issues

1. I do work a really demanding job, and these guys tend to get impatient when they can't "buy" my time at will.

2. A LOT of these guys run away when I mention getting tested before doing anything sexual.  I've lost out on a lot of potentials because I was not willing to go raw.  However, I NEVER regret sticking to my guns on this.

3. The married men factor.  I am not nor have I ever been interested in dating married men, but you run across a lot of them who are willing to get into this type of arrangement.

Overall, I haven't had runaway success in trying this type of dating, and it can be a headache weeding through the posers.  But I've had some decent to really good dates.  Again, I'm not looking at this as the main way to support myself so maybe I'm not as aggressive as I could or should be.
