Mons Venus Stripper Charged with Child Neglect

Rhonda Judith Perry was arrested at the strip club on North Dale Mabry Hwy. after leaving her 2-year-old son alone in a house with fecal matter on the floor and walls, according to Tampa Police. By Alessandra Da Pra | May 10, 2012

A 25-year-old Tampa mother was arrested while working the night shift at Mons Venus and charged with child neglect on Wednesday, May 9, according to Tampa Police Department.

Rhonda Judith Perry was booked into Orient Road Jail after a neighbor notified Tampa Police that a small child had been left alone and was crying inside Perry’s house at 4019 W. Cass St., said Tampa Police spokesperson Andrea Davis in a press release.

When officers arrived at the residence, they looked through a window and saw a young child crying, dirty and unsupervised, Davis said.

Officers had to climb into the house through an unlocked window to recover the 2-year-old boy from the house.

"He was wearing a soiled shirt and no diaper or pants," Davis wrote in the press release. "There was fecal matter on the floors and walls throughout the house. The bathroom plumbing appeared to be backed up and there was eight inches of black water in the bathtub."

Officers searched the house but no one else was home, according to police.

Perry was released from jail early Thursday morning on a $2,000 surety bond, records show.

The Florida Department of Children and Families was notified and took custody of the child.

When the media says black men are horrible fathers, you give them pass. So unless you were there, how do you know she's a 'horrible' mother??? There is no such thing as a 'PERFECT' mother. A' good' mother does the best she can with what she has.

And how exactly, is that helping her or her future kids? I'm pretty sure lack of money/job is the reason she's on the pole. Yes she should be punished for leaving the child alone, in those conditions and her child should be placed somewhere else until she can prove she's fit, BUT on the other hand I sympathize with her if that was her only option, I mean taking the child to work with her couldn't have been better. Now if she's stripping for drugs or has a history of doing this I'd say she definitely needs her ass beat.

@Tone Who gave her a pass? Her ass is in jail & her child is gone, how is that a pass? Everyone on here said she was wrong!? So who gave this pass you speak of?

WOW. Being a single mother is hard but, there's always another way. Welfare could have paid for daycare or she could have worked two jobs (one to pay for a sitter and the other to pay the bills). There's ALWAYS a way.

Her sitter called off and she called the kids father to come watch them. She claimed he told her he was on his way. They were sleep so she went to work before the father arrived, thinking he'd be there shortly. Well he never showed. The kids woke up before she got back, went on the balcony and the 2 year old fell to his death.

Because of the budget cuts alot of government finding has been cut and there is no longer alot of programs for babysitting and all. It's sad but at least they caught this bish. I mean she would of been doing this for years and then what? Maybe another baby or who knows. I

This was back in the day before the child care provider boom. To this day, we dont have 24 hour daycare centers here.....7a-6p. After that, you're on your own

not all black men are dead beat dads so if the media tries to make that Claim I simply say that is not true. But if a woman leave her 2 yr old child alone that is straight up neglect.

My point is when a woman is a bad mother we tend to be more forgiving then if a man is a bad father. The woman you're talking about is not a bad mother. She is a woman that got an unfair sentence
