Things my exes taught me
I just recently cut ties with an ex I was super in love with way back when and a part of me felt really depressed about putting in so much time and effort just to end everything. So I figured that recalling all of the positive lessons I've learned from him and other exes would be therapeutic. On that note, post what your exes taught you about men, yourself, or life in general :) I'll go first:
Recent ex: you taught me that I can appear cold sometimes when I'm stressed or focused on my own goals. You taught me that a mans actions should always be taken over his word, that an insecure man can't ever be changed by my actions/non actions, life is too short to be worried about what someone will or won't do, if a man is going to cheat there is nothing I can personally do to stop him, I should never dumb myself down or dim my own shine just to make a man with low self esteem feel better about himself.

Recent ex, I can't say he really taught me much, but I have learned that a man actions can if possible turn a woman into exactly what he wants. I have taught myself that loving myself and being around others that love themselves is better for me. Can't no man teach me anything.

At this point the biggest thing I learned from my exes is that I chose them and I needed to make better choices in men. I needed to focus on what was important to me beyond the surface. I also learned that I can't make someone be who they aren't some people no matter how much you like them do not have the capacity to be/give you what you need.

- I learned to eat healthy since my last man was vegan.
- I've learned that I can catch more flies with honey than vinegar (i.e. I noticed when I was nice and gave him what he wanted, I got what I wanted but you know how we can get as women sometimes..."Oh, I have a headache", "My feet hurt", "I saw you looking at that b****"...etc.)
- In accordance with the above, I've learned to be patient. You may get what you want from a man but you can't rush him.
- Lastly, I learned I have commitment issues that I will need to iron out before I could even consider settling down.

Never listen to what a man tells you when you are pregnant, if you are not ready to fully support a child please don't have it
Never allow a man to move into your place. Make him go out a get you and him a place together. Cuz he will throw it back in your face and you back in his when you are mad

My ex taught me to have my own! House, Car and Money, and have the man love me more than I love him...Because when I get tired of him, I can tell him to Suck-off, get out, or it's OVER! Hence the reason he's my ex! and why I can look around my beautiful house and say, no-one owns me!
