Things my exes taught me
I just recently cut ties with an ex I was super in love with way back when and a part of me felt really depressed about putting in so much time and effort just to end everything. So I figured that recalling all of the positive lessons I've learned from him and other exes would be therapeutic. On that note, post what your exes taught you about men, yourself, or life in general :) I'll go first:
Recent ex: you taught me that I can appear cold sometimes when I'm stressed or focused on my own goals. You taught me that a mans actions should always be taken over his word, that an insecure man can't ever be changed by my actions/non actions, life is too short to be worried about what someone will or won't do, if a man is going to cheat there is nothing I can personally do to stop him, I should never dumb myself down or dim my own shine just to make a man with low self esteem feel better about himself.

I'm not needy. He did teach me not to believe everything I see. Also to always benefit from a man, if not then move on. Also, taught me alot of stuff about women too.

1) Always follow your dream no matter how crazy or how hard it might seem
2) Do not be afraid to be who you are, say no when you feel like it, don't settle if you don't want something

4) You don't have to wait for a better moment, act now
5) Your health is very important
6) Be passionate for someone who deserves it
And much more, he was a great mentor but a student outgrew his teacher and we had to part our ways.

Mostly dating lessons:
Potential doesn't count for anything.
Treat them how they treat me, not how I'd like them to treat me.
Agree with everthing. Explain nothing. Then do what's best for me.
Condition that ass without words.
Don't give no nigga no chances.
Not try to play myself down when asked snarky questions by men: Are you rich? You must be spoiled(?) Seem like you're high maintenance(?) Acting like a prize will make any man a believer. Why try to rid myself of it, just to get regular treatment?
Take it slow and let him be a man! (I have too much pride, not comfortable taking or asking)

My last ex confirmed why I do not date folks with kids. Also if a man doesn't see anything wrong with hanging up on his mother he will for sure be disrespectful to you. He also confirmed that I would rather be single than put up with BS.
