I'm bout to make hamburgers and realized that I've had ketchup in the fridge for about 3 months. I was about to throw it out cause I was thinking it was old. But then I checked the following site and it said I can keep it for up to 6 months!!! I'm actually excited. And you can keep mustard in the fridge for up to a year after opening?!?! WTH?? What kind of preservatives are they using *SSE*? Anyways, is there some s*** in your fridge that you need to throw out?
Mayo is good for 120 days after opening but must be in the fridge. Most stuff with shelf life longer than 6 months has some form of acid to keep the ph netural and stop the growth of microbes.if it's brown than it's oxidize and that's bad.
