Tough Decision...
I'm stuck between a rock and a hard place. My new beau wants me to attend Pro Bowl weekend with him in Hawaii, but if I go, I will be forgoing a very important and prestigious fellowship at a very elite institution (It's a highly competitive program in which you can not miss one day. You sign a contract that says if you miss one day, you will be expelled from the fellowship though you will be given the chance to apply the following semester.) Now, my baller is really putting the pressure on me to go, saying things like, "If you're always going to be this busy, when will you have time for me" and things of that nature. Now, I haven't known him long at all (actually, we've met within the month), and I know the obvious choice is to stick with my fellowship, but how many of you would throw your dreams to the wind and ride it out with your baller?

DON'T GO!!!!! If he's forcing you or puttiing pressure on you to give up a dream and ya'll only have known each other for a month then the signs are not positive for the future....Probowl happens every year.....this is once and a lifetime....GO WITH YOUR DREAM...and if your baller can't get with it then he needs to keep it moving...

He needs to get his s*** together.... stop acting all needy. That fellowship is more important than his ass. He'll still be sniffin around your ass when he gets back from Pro Bowl. He's being too controlling for it to be only a month. RED FLAG! I'm sure ballin is his dream, would you ask him to miss a game?

@Golden Child You are so right. This is my money. If I go to Pro Bowl, I would literally be coming back to nothing (no fellowship, no money, no NOTHING).
I guess I wanted you guys to talk me into going because I could use the vacation. I've been working so hard. Oh well, there will surely be another time.

Baby..I'm going to let you ride out on this one... if that man really cares about you, he will see you after your fellowship is done...what we always say here on BA, "A wet puss and a dry purse don't match" Go take care your business and besides, who is he to put pressure on you when you guys just met...I'm sorry if I sound a little harsh...it's not intentional, but I dislike when men try to persuade us not to be the best person we can be..especially without them... you better believe if the tables were turned, he would get his...so you go get yours...#thatsallfolks...
