NEW YORK - A New York City woman who says she can't find a job is suing the college where she earned a bachelor's degree.
Trina Thompson filed a lawsuit last week against Monroe College in Bronx Supreme Court, The New York Post reports. The 27-year-old is seeking the $70,000 she spent on tuition. Thompson says she's been unable to find gainful employment since she received her information technology degree in April.
She says the Bronx school's Office of Career Advancement hasn't provided her with the leads and career advice it promises.
Monroe College spokesman Gary Axelbank says Thompson's lawsuit is completely without merit.
The college insists it helps its graduates find jobs.

She hasn't found a job because she needs to take some f*ing responsibility and get a common sense certificate. The economy is fucked up ....why should she be handed a job because she has a degree??? There is nothing that school could have done more than educating her but obviously they didn't do that!!!! This goes in the same shred basket as the judge vs cleaners case..............FAIL!!!!!!!!

Ok.... I graduated in May and don't have a job either. I knew I wasn't gonna have a job offer handed to me on a silver platter. She is definitely a grown woman and needs to stop expecting anyone to find her a job. The work you put into finding a job is what you get out and by the looks of it probably isn't putting any work into the job hunt. She has a degree in information technology and has yet to realize that jobs are being posted online now, especially through social media tools like Twitter, LinkedIn, and Facebook. She thought that it was hard looking for a job.... now she's gonna have a harder time since this article posted. Girl bye.....

the bitch can find a job. mcdonalds is hiring. open the classifies section; there are plenty of places that are hiring. it may not be what you want, but its a job. i so tired of people and the blame game. there is no rule that says a degree guarantees a job. when i graduated with my bachelors (when the economy was good), i couldnt find a job that i wanted. so i ended up goin to graduate school.

Finacial aid forms and school loans state that you have to repay the school even if you're not satisfied with your education. If she signed case over.
