Heck yeah!...I take GOOD care of my hair...that I used to wear was 2 years old...I wash it, condition it, clip the ends...lol...girl its was MINE

I'm facing that issue now. I wanted highlighted hair, so I stopped wearing weaves and cut my hair into a cute chunky bob with highlights. I work out too much to keep the "real" highlights. I'm about to cut off some of my real hair and go back to sew-ins.

If he really cares about you, then let him know what works for you. If you prefer a weave, then weave it up. He probably avoids black women with bad weaves, because Lord knows there too many of them (famous and every day women).

What shampoo and conditioner do you use? and how do you keep hair for two years? Can you make a tutorial on how this is done because I am in awe of all this info you giving! *Thumbs up signal* I have so many weave questions now and i thought i knew!

I wish a ninja would try to come between me and my weave It would be so over between us, ninja have me end up on the new season of SNAPPED! I'm in Flordia and the weather and my natural hair do not mix, so a sew in is my best friend. So like Charlie said get you a good sew in and you're good to go. I met a dude a couple of months ago and all he talks about is how he loves women who wear their own hair, little did that ninja know none of that was mine, and I still haven't told him, he'll figure it out one day. Don't change for him, next thing you know he'll find something else about you he wants you to change and it'll continue until you don't even recognize your old self.

@ Charlie, you take extremely good care of your hair, the most time I've gotten out of mine was about 4 months, but then again it wasn't that really expensive stuff either.

It just depends on the hair...again I use DreamGirls and their stuff is amazing, I swear by it...

I use Dove deep moisture shampoo and conditioner on it, sometimes I deep condition it...you have to use something very gentle...I lay it out and let air dry (when I'm not wearing it)...I put it together in a ponytail and store in a plastic bag until I use it again...I treat it as gently as I would my own hair...I go to the salon get it done (not swen-in, my cuz does that)...it just all starts with the hair...and its not in my head for 2 years...I take it out and put it back in every 3-4 weeks

U know what I tell dudes when they tell me that they don't like weave, I say you liked it when you met me, so don't try to change me...

Agreed, you have to treat weave like it's your own hair. That's where a lot of girls go wrong. Or they don't invest in quality hair. I also use Infusium 23 leave in conditioner to keep from tangling.

I agree, or tell him you like a man with a long fat... and see if he buys a pump :-) I'm all natural, but it takes work and I have the blackanise hair so my naps are curly. To the left, to the left...

I want a weave but I cut my hair of super short but not too short to get a sew in. I might have my sister do it for me, she's a stylist.

OK ladies so I did some research on the dreamgirls hair and I think I'mma try it!!!! Why not, I deserve to treat myself. All of you ladies are so right, he damn sure met me in a weave, and dealt with it for over 6 months after that. So, I'mma jus take a different approaach with it. That way I'm happy, whether he is or not. I need to invest in some good hair and a good stylist anyway. Thanks again ladies :-)
