Tone, you are right. That's usually what being in the friend zone is. The guy doesn't necessarily have to be ugly or broke. He can be cute but I'm not attracted to him "like that" or he really is just a friend

Had to go outside and start the lawn mower for him.

Saw my car was dirty and he didn't offer to wash it, LOL. That one was petty but I really wasn't feeling him.

None of them were ugly, but I guess they were not manly enough, too thirsty, or just did have a spark between us? They are all really good friends to me now. But you know nice guys and gals finish last!

Having no chemistry(although the guy may be nice looking), lacking ambition or not meeting my level of drive and/or success, different views on relationship roles, lack of faithfulness, etc...the guy could be cool peeps but just not right for me.

All of this landed him in the friend zone. Told him he was nice but we could only be friends until he got himself together. Didn't understand how he thought he could date with all that going on. I wondered how he was going to even pay for a dinner w/ no job. We never made it that far (a date)

My friend zone guys: I can talk to them about ANYTHING! They become more like brothers, they are successful, have money, but neither of us are interested "like that" (as someone mentioned before), or we've known each other for waay too long and it's gone past that point of "you should marry your best friend" type deal.

For newer guys that end up in the friend zone, it's either a mixture of they don't get my gist of me not wanting them, or they're genuinely good guys and I don't want to hurt their feelings, and even after me having to go to that point of hurting their feelings, they still stick around, then bam, friend zone and I can officially vent to them about certain situations lol
