When is the Statue of Limitation Up, on a Friend Dating an Ex?
So I had this conversation with 3 different friends this weekend, and I ended up with 4 different view points (including mine). So here goes ladies & gents....When is the statue of limitation up on dating one of your homies ex or just a dude he/she use to "talk" to, and by talk I mean a series of dates but no real relationship.
My Viewpoint--As long as I didn't have sex with the dude, then go for what you know and then I amended it to say, even if I did have sex if the relationship was over 7-10 years ago with no contact since we ended, then by all means go for what you know, just let me know first. Now I do have 2 Exes that will always be off limits, I don't care how many years pass.
Friend #1- Doesn't care how long ago if was, if they did or didn't have sex, if all they did was hold hands and talk on the phone, never dated...He's off limits.
Friend #2 - If it wasn't an in-depth relationship and you discuss it with me first, I might be okay with it.
Friend #3- If he's single and it's been at least 5 years then he's fair gain. Shoot it's slim pickings out here, just b/c it didn't work with you doesn't mean it won't work with me, but I will discuss it with you and that discussion won't necessarily stop me for going for what I know <----her words exactly
So ladies and gents who's right or should I say what's your take on it? Friend #2 basically hates the other 3 of us, she said we were some scandalous, unloyal b******, who can't be trusted. In @Eleven8's blog about Two friends liking the same guy, her opinion would be that whoever "liked" him first is the one who gets him, even if you didn't know she liked him, she'd expect you to back off, even if he liked you over her, she'd expect you to take the loss.

Its never up its a life time thing i agree with friend #1 she is understanding & trust worthy. & wouldnt it be akward if they bring the guy around or they got married & invited you to the wedding? Idc if its a guy i had a crush on but never said anything if your a real friend you know the friend code & hes off limits for life.

Friend #2 sounds like she is 5 years old; f*** her. I subscribe to the same thought as friend #3.
