I think ya'll are both right. I mean I see what homegirl is saying. But she may be playing the good girl card with the wrong dudes. I had to learn that the hard way. You have to treat each dudes differently. A lot of these rookies and young ones (under 25) don't really know the game and their tight with their money. They will make a naive girl feel intimidated to ask him for money. So in some cases I feel her about the regular dudes. I get my basic needs met easily with regular dudes. It's nothing. But athletes, it's not always as easy. They tend to have their guards up. If she come across dudes that give her the BF vibe than she can roll like that with them, but the one's that's tryna f*** her, she need to ask straight up for what she need. And if he say no, leave his ass alone! She should under no circumstances be giving up any sex of any kind without getting her needs met. Real talk.

I know what you mean. Let me tell you, it's because some dudes don't wana feel like their taking care of a woman's responsibilities. If you say you need help paying a bill it looks like your not independent and you can't take care of yourself. He's thinking "that's your s***, not mine". But if he is buying you a "gift" or giving you money to have a little fun or shop, it's like he's "treating" you. This is just from my experiences. I never ask for help paying bills (unless it's a reg. nigga) b/c I want to keep my independence. If I really do need help for a bill, I'll ask for the amount I need and say it's for gucci shoes or my hair or something stupid, then take the cash and do what I need ;)

From my experience its because they want to keep you dependent upon them. Once you have your own, the less you shall need them.

I don't understand why so many women have a problem coming off as a golddigger. Men don't have a problem being manwhores. As a matter of fact a lot of men consider it a compliment when you call them a manwhore. *shrug* Golddigger just means your bills are paid, you bank account is fat, and you are doing something right.

*shudders* Unpaid bills make me frigid.

Make a donation to a charity if your azz is feeling guilty.

It shouldn't be hard at all to get money from a dude with money, but, you have to also factor in, is this dude personality closer to old money or is he "new" money. New money is selfish and remembers where they came from and tend to not spend more than necessary or in some cases, they pull a Rick Ross and get to BMF'ing there stash whenever they can. However, "old" money doesn't want to flash and spend as much so they are more frugal as to where they send their money and the goal is to get a good return on the money you are paying. Now with that being said I can't say if she is capable of getting dude to come out the pockets with conversation alone but she needs to figure out what type of dude she is messing with and modify her tactics based on that.

I don't think that you should be messing with a dude that you can not ask for help when it is needed. Time for a new baller who is willing to pay like he weighs!
