WHO WATCHED "WHY A SUCCESSFUL BLACK WOMAN CAN'T FIND A MAN?"

Who watched it last night? The panel was a joke.

I didn't see it but I heard about it. And this comment from one of my (other) favorite blogs pretty much sums up what I felt about the "panelists"

Wipe Your Feet On The Rug: Things That Are Just Disrespectful

6. Having suspect ass “dating experts” tell suspect ass single women why they can’t get a man
Steve Harvey, Hill Harper, and Jimi Izreal? Really? Sherri “my hips are too gone to box with God” and Jacque “How’d I End Up On this Panel” Reed? Overmarried, undermarried and overmarried? Oversingle and Ovaries on fire? Really Nightline? You gonna tell Black women they can’t find a man by having a bad comic, a gay dude, and a dude who’s shirt hates women chop it up with two women who can’t find a man for good reasons? That right there, ninja? That sh*t right there?
Is just disrespectful.
I didn't but from what I read, Hill Harper made a good point: blk folks are not communicating
http://abcnews.go.com/Nightline/FaceOff/nightline-black-women-singl...
I wasn't going to watch because how the hell did Steve Harvey become this expert on dating all of the sudden. And didn't he leave his wife to be with another woman? WTH is up with that! Hill needs to have a seat somewhere I am sick of his azz too! However, this quote was too damn funny and I immediately thought of Sherri when @Chloe:) posted this:

and although I love Sherri to death, her bad built ass need to take what she can get!!! LOL

I watched and wholeheartedly agree that this wasa JOKE! However, there was one thing that made me laugh @ the irony:
Hill Harper told the story of meeting Sherri S for the first time years ago @ an LA taco Bell. At the time the panel was discussing dating men with potential.
Hill said Sherri approached him and when they started talking and she realized he wasa waiter (usual work for actors) and didn't have a car, Sherri walked away and could no longer be bothered. Her explanation was that she was riding the bus and couldn't date a man who did not have a car of his own...
I will not watch ANYTHING with this ridiculous ass title.........we really need to stop!
They had a show like this??? really??? I'm glad I missed it!!!!
The Taco Bell story was hilarious...

My dad is here visiting and he also said no man wants to see a wig on the nightstand or taking out your cornrows. I would never ask a man that..the few times I got weave the cornrows were disgusting lol
The women in ATL can't find a man because most of the men there want MEN, not women!! i kid, i kid (not really)

So you write one book....and that makes you a relationship expert?? I give all of my friends advice does that make me a psychologist?

What I "learned" from watching this is....Men want you too look beautiful and be successful, but stand behind them....Ummm, he's not going to help me take down my hair b/c its not in his DNA, I need to look at his potential not at where he is now, don't date a bum. And I learned that women should not lower their standards & we shouldn't reach for the top dogs unless you are a top dog yourself, and if we are a top dog we should still consider dating men who haven't made top dog status but have potential **side eye**

A whole bunch of contradictions, men blame women and the women blamed the men.
I agree with you Sheli. I watched it and I learned nothing new that hasn't already been said in past "discussions." The only thing I got out of it was a good laugh.

Why would I expect my man to take down my braids and grease my scalp? I don't even like doing it myself, so why make him do it.

I'm just tired of this BLACK WOMAN HATERED...

A couple of years ago we were all fat, welfare, no manners, un-educated, 7 different baby daddies, ebonic speaking, lazy, project living, race number 2, mad at white woman for taking our men, made a the lslh women for taking the spotlights in the videos, cute for a black girl and not to mention being labeled as women with no goals, dreams and aspirations! Now that more black woman are heading their own businesses taking a stand on their education and raising good wholesome families with or without a father, something that we've been doing for years but they just never noticed, now we have to be successful but can't get a man?!? Come on already...gtfoh! Find something else to talk about. Just as someone posted an article on balleralert before, there are many races with single women and men.

They should talk about how men of ALL races are having kids and not taking care of them. Show me some damn reasoning for that s***! Explain to me why my kids f*ckin father only wants to take care of his kids when he's single and not playin house with another b****...I wonder if Steve Harvey, Hill Harper, Jimi Izreal, Sherri and Jacque Reed can tell me what's wrong with him...and he isn't black!
I still can't believe Hill tried to holla at Sherri Shepard...lol
lol @Boss, maybe she was 'his type' then.
