I was friends with this girl from 3rd grade thru high school. We used to spend the nite over each others house go to games and parties she was considered a close friend. I started dating this guy my 11th grade year we went to jr and sr prom together we were close. Graduation came it was the bomb because it was like each person from the entire class of 96 gave a party we really partied. How did my girl get preggers and needed a DNA test from both My dude and his friend? ( the baby was not for either it turned out to be the guy up the blocks kid)They did Too Much I guess at one party I didnt make, hence we broke up and she and I are no longer friends. Its funny cause I see him out and about when Im home and I speak I can even do a lil fake smile as I shake my head at his sad ass...but when I saw her this year after all this time and once I Knew it was her I looked right through her even tho she was smiling at me like she wanted to speak. My sister told me to move on with this HS BS. I know after 13yrs I should but I never expected to marry him I didnt even see him too far in my future. I did see her being my friend forever tho and she hurt me. She reached out to a few of our girlfriends and said that she miss me. I miss her in a way because we used to have fun but Im affraid that even if I let the HSBS go I will always look at her with the ole side eye. My question when you are hurt by a lover and a friend which one is mostly at fault if either?

so did you end up marrying this guy? i am confused...there is no one person mostly at fault, both parties are equally at fault.

THAT IS SO TRUE - If we stopped being friends...we can be cool, we don't need to be all buddy buddy...so to say.

I've had a friend try to sleep with an ex and I stopped dealing with her over that - years later we moved to the same state she contacted me and I tried to be the bigger person and befriend her. Lets just say, I've since distanced myself from said "friend."

So, I would be cool but, keep my distance - you can say Hi. No one said go out for drinks...

I've done that, stop being friends with someone and then picked the friendship back up. For some ppl it works, but I promise you, they always take you there and remind you why you stopped being friends with them! Feed her with a long handed spoon!

I dare not continue a friendship with someone that I have to watch. Be cordial, and keep it movin.
