Why I'm loyal to baller alert
Okay so in light of the Don Cornelius death and people's rude ass comments, I felt the need to post this. People on twitter were saying they weren't going to say "rip" to a man who was a coward and took his own life...and to that I say f-ck those ppl... No one really knows what you're going through until they go through it themselves. Nobody knows if his support system didn't support him... Case in point, about a year or 2 ago, I was going through so much s*** and it felt like there was no where to go but death. The ones that were supposed to be loyal to me turned their back...so I was sharing my pain through writing on b.a....I was on the edge of committing suicide and the ladies on here didn't just write me support in my inbox and on the forum, they called my phone....checked up on me....people I never met before showed me more loyalty than the b****** that were physically in my life. THATS WHY I f-ck with baller alert....not because the " baller stories" although I love those, but because all you ladies show support to each other....love y'all sincerely.....

A friend posted on Facebook that suicide is the only unforgivable sin... I asked where exactly that's found in the bible... Called my mom up & she said she was told that but couldn't tell me where to find it... I don't think it's there... After researching I couldn't find it...

I am glad you posted this. One of the reasons I come on here is to share things I wish someone would have shared with me..uplift someone and share knowledge. I have seen dark days and contemplated suicide at my darkest hours. I have also had a friend commit suicide in front me and 2 other friends. I,like you Ally, am appalled and disgusted at the way people are talking about Don Cornelius. The problem with some black people is that we deny mental illness and depression we do not offer people the proper support to deal with and everybody can't always be strong. People need love and support and we are quick to offer criticism before either of the two. I am happy that the BA fam gave you the support and showed you the love to help you out of your dark time. Ally,
You are not alone and I'm so glad you pulled through! I go through really dark periods and suffer from bipolar disorder. My highs are wonderful, but my lows used to disable me and all I wanted to do was go to sleep forever. People are quick to pass judgement on Don because they don't know what was going on in his life or in his head.
So keep going, knowing you aren't alone, someone will miss you more than you realize.
