I was in the beauty supply store today and a couple walk in all hugged up.
They were looking at the packs of hair displayed and the dude starts talking to the owner asking for a discount???
....& he wanted her to guarantee the price for a year???
The chick didn't care, she just wanted him to pay for it. LOL
Me & my nosey self stuck around listening :)

I'm with ds, usually ninjas with the most "real" money are usually the cheapest motherfathers! They didn't get rich paying retail and not asking for discounts. I would be embarassed too but it would pass as soon as my hair got done LOL. That sounds like a REAL businessman right there and it is kind of sexy in a way.

I dated a lawyer that was like this but we got plenty of discounts and free stuff from him being this wa. I was initially embarassed I got over it quick. I learned a lot from him things that I use still. I don; have extra money to give away unnecessarily I can barter & negotiate with the best of them even in places where some would not dare negotiate.

I can pay for my own hair and small things like that I'mma need him to take care of big ticket items and not worry about the small stuff under 500.00..
Nahhh we would not be shopping for hair together.
Hell, let him barter with the weave wizard that charges 2 or 3 grand for a fly celebrity weave..not the lady at the chinese shop, noooo damn thanks.

I wouldn't be embarrassed because it's his money... and like the other ladies have said some of the wealthiest men didn't get that way from accepting everything thrown their way. My baller mixes high and low. He shops Target for Target appropriate things (towels, cleaning supplies, etc) so he can splurge on big ticket items (his SLs, his homes) so it balances out.
Plus, if he played his hand right, whenever she goes back to the beauty supply she wont be cheated into paying more.
