Does it concern you if an athlete enter the pros too soon? For the nfl, they require you to be a "senior. In the nba, you gotta be 19. For mlb, there is no limit. There are issues of immaturity, growth, and education. The following brother, Jeremy Tyler (heeey young man...call me!) is leaving high school early to play bball overseas to make $140K a year.
Agree I wouldn't let my baby leave HS early, like Hotter said if he has an injury that puts him out, then where does that leave him? These kids need someone in their corner who is looking towards the future not someone who is blinded by the $$$ just like they are. Shoot to a 19 year old $104K/year looks like $104 million/year. Also, I think additional education, training and conditioning on a college level even for a brief period of time will only strengthen their talents.
Terrible... Leavin high school early?!?!? That makes no sense. People always say school isn't going anywhere, but if he gets injured, he can't go to college because of NCAA amature rules and that $$$ won't last a lifetime. Even if he gets 1/2 a mil playing over there a few years, this move right here shows me he won't know how to manage his money and make the right decisions. Mike Tyson was a multi multi millionaire by 19 and is broke today because he wasant mature or educate enough to know common sense. A full ride college education to a great school is worth more than 100gs anyway.
And if he's playing overseas who the hell told him to go PRO for ONLY $140k? That's that bull right there. The dollar is in a weak state right now $140k in Europe or Asia aint shit now! SOMEBODY PLEASE STOP THE NIGGADOM!
um...only 140K???? That's it? You can get that easily with a good degree...He might as well of stayed in school and graduated for that lil bit of money..
I had a friend who left school early (a few months b4 graduation) to go play overseas. I believe he received his HS Diploma but just wasnt there to walk across the stage. If this is no longer the case, yeah they should finish HS.
.....for now. Do yall really really think he's gonna stay retired? He has such an ego. Plus, I'm sure he still yearns for a championship and would like to be back on top where he once was. What happened? I remember when he was drafted. He was #1...
Men love the thrill of the chase (make the guy chase a little longer next time). Take it as a learning experience. He may be sincere or he may be telling you what you want to hear (false hope). Hopefully you'll come out on top the next time around...
