My novel PUSH COMES TO SHOVE is available. It's a tale about Greg "GP" Patterson. He is a man who is forced to choose between priorities, integrity, and—sometimes—his overgrown ego. The wrong choices prove disastrous for him, his feisty Latina wife, and their quarrelsome children. After a simple assault that turns into bogus robbery charges, the Pattersons find themselves in the county jail, and, eventually homeless. Their children are placed in a group home: the same one that abused GP as a child.
Jewels, a testy lesbian with a penchant for hustling, spends all of her money to bail the Pattersons out. Now GP must come up with even more money to provide shelter for his family. A loan from an unsympathetic, evil loan shark named Squeeze could be the answer, but the default penalty could become deadly. Things spin out of control when Jewels is robbed for the loan money in a high-stakes scheme. Find out whether GP will be able to pay his debts and reunite his family when push comes to shove.
