For Women Who Want The Ballerific Life!
Permalink Reply by Nene2 on December 11, 2011 at 9:46pm I like Midnight, I read the book a few years ago It was a page turner for me. It would have been nice for it to be the sequel to the coldest winter ever.. but that always another story to write for Sister Souljah. What I like about Midnight is that the book was jus fresh to def, especially if you hav read some donald goines and Iceberg slim. Midnight stood for some things.. and if some young men acquired some of his character morality their could be stronger families. My daughter read at age 12 and has read the sequel too.
Permalink Reply by Sheli on January 6, 2012 at 8:33am I haven't read the second part to Midnight, but I loved the first part. In TCWE I always wondered why he was so disciplined and that partly explained it. I'll have to pick up the second part

UCAN NEVA GET ENUFF!! on January 6, 2012 at 9:20am I didnt read it initially because I was expecting it to be the sequel to th Coldwest winter Ever and when I read the reviews, their were many negatives, mainly for that fact. Someone had it at work and I decided to read it and it was a great book (IMO), but it just wasn't the sequel as many of us would have liked.
Has anyone read the book by Queen Pen?? I think it was called Blossom, Im waiting on the sequel to that but that was a GREAT book, If you havent read it, go get it, I dont knw what happened to mine though.

I also found Midnight dissapointing at first because I felt it would be written in the same style as Coldest Winter Ever. But after giving it a chance I really got into it. I felt like she was really trying to give insight as to how Midnight became the man he is in the Coldest Winter Ever. The ending did mess me up too but only because by that time I was totally into it lol. I hope the next book comes quickly the only way I would really be dissapointed is if she leaves a cliff hanger like that and does not follow it up.
