My sister is doing most of the cooking...but I'm making my two-day chicken in soul and lemon-pepper flavors, macaroni and cheese, collard greens and vegetarian collard greens, jerk salmon, and lemon-pepper tilapia...and may try those fried oreos

Mac & Cheese - I'm going to use one of the recipes on here
Blueberry Casserole (instead of cranberry sauce) - it's blueberry/grape jello (i'll post it)

I'm using Mo'niques recipe in her cookbook...it has cheez wiz which I though was weird but it is SOOOOO good

Now you talking my ish I was actually going to post some of the recipes! I am SOOO looking forward to Thanksgiving...Me, Momma & Sis THROW DOWN and Sis and I finalized the menu last night!

Soup Station (I am making Shrimp Bisque & We are ordering Cream of Crab from Jerry's)
Homemade Rolls (Mom makes the best rolls in the world!!!!!! she is making 8 Dozen)
Collard Greens
Sweet potato Casserole (I am posting the recipe later)
Mashed potatoes
Prime Rib
Turkey (recipe is off the hook, next to fried this is the best turkey ever a key to a MOIST Turkey is Brining!)
Salmon en Crote (Salmon with Spinach in a Filo Dough Crust)
Cornbread Stuffing with sausage
String Beans (Ma Dukes puts her foot in em)
Sweet potatoe Pies ( my mom & sis make them different I love both versions but being the Carribean girl the coconut crust on Moms is my fav!)
Fressh Cranberry Relish (i hate that jelly rool thing out the can...we use this recipe with port wine and fresh cranberries DELISH!)
Gravy
Stuffed mushrooms (appetizer..Thanks Boss for showing me how to make them! Love ya for it!)
Cajun Shrimp (appetizer)
homemade ice cream
Some apple dessert haven't decided which one I usually do apple crisp I want to switch it up

The cooking is usually divided among specialties....mine are with a star.

2 Turkeys , one fried, one roasted
Oyster Stuffing
Mac & Cheese
Honey Baked Ham
Collard Greens *
Asparagus
String Beans
Stuffed Mushrooms (w/Crabmeat)
Sweet Potato Soufle *
Stuffed Red Snapper (w/Crab Meat & Shrimp) *
Filet Mignon (My mother buys a whole side)
Yeast Rolls

Peach Cobbler *
Bread Pudding *
ICE CREAM

Afterwards, my VERY drunk family does KARAOKE (sp)!!!

My mom, grandmother and aunts are doing the most of the cooking, but I will contribute, my special banana pudding and spinach dip w/hawaiin bread.

I may have to one of those recipes for mac & cheese... sounds real tastey!

I'm ready. Already started my part. This year dinner is not at my home, we are joining a friend and others for thanksgiving.

I wanted to do dessert, but there is an over abundance of dessert to last two wks. My contribution (per their request) is jerk chicken and gumbo (yep, we are doing all sorts of variety dishes). I've seasoned the chicken thighs and started my gumbo, the gumbo is to die for but I like all the flavors fully blended so it takes so long to prepare....
