There's usually a long ass waiting list (2-years or more) for a new one. Unless ur a top"uber" A lister or royalty there wouldn't be too much of a problem getting one first. But they ARE on Ebay though(the older models anyway) The super $$$$expens...
Not all of them cost 40k - you can get a Birkin for about 10 - 14k ob Ebay. You can get it even cheaper if you search hard enough you can get them even cheaper.
