Corey Drumz is the youngest son of BMI Song Writer Of The Year Award (1981) winning songwriter/composer Larry Banks (who penned the hit song "Go Now" which spring boarded the group The Moody Blues career in the late 60's and was also performed by Paul McCartney and Wings, Cher, and was originaly released by Bessie Banks as well as many other songs for various artists during the 70's. Larry was also the former head of A&R of Black Music for RCA/Victor/KAPP Records), soul singer Jaibi (born Joan Pulliam), who released the hit songs "It Was Like A Nightmare" and "You Got Me" which were released on RCA/Victor/KAPP in Europe during the early 70's. She was also the lead singer of the group The Pleasures. Corey is the founder/CEO of Iron Kladd Entertainment otherwise known as I.K.E..

Growing up in a household where music came as natural as breathing, Corey took to it like a sponge. Getting his knowledge of writing and song structure from his father and his emotional delivery and voice from his mother (Jaibi), Corey first got into making music at the age of 11 as a singer in Jr, High School where he performed in the chorus as the soloist. By age 13 Corey was offered numerous scholarships as a singer but turned them all down. His mother, Jaibi, passed once he entered High School. At that point Corey started becoming more street oriented, and gave up singing. Corey became a rapper (whose stage name at the time was CeStyle) and used his talents as a writer and vocalist to channel his pain and anger of losing his mother to become one of the biggest and most respected mc's on the eastcoast. At the age of 21, Corey's father passed. A year after losing his father Corey, who was at one time a member of EPMD's Hit Squad as well as MC Serch's Serchlight Mob (Nas, O.C. and Corey Drumz aka CeStyle & Kamal B Wize better known as Total Pack), was signed to Columbia Records making history as being the first Hip-Hop artists to be signed to multi album deal without even having a demo (the only other artist to do that before him was Janice Joplin who ironically was also signed to Columbia Records). The deal with Columbia didn't work to Corey's advantage due to creative differences between himself and his partner at the time, Kamal B Wise as well as a lack of guidance from his label, but that couldn't stop Corey. Today Corey is incorporating both his singing ability and rapping skills to make a unique sound in music unmatched by any other artist.

Conceived in 1997 and incorporated in 2003, Iron Kladd Entertainment Inc. was formed out of Corey’s frustration with labels who had neither the capability nor the willingness to nurture its hip hop artists effectively. Corey, a single father with 4 children, .. feels the best way for his music and the music of many other emerging artists to reach its fullest potential was to create a vehicle dedicated to that pursuit. Iron Kladd Entertainment was born in 2003 and has since then Corey has never looked back.
