I tried to friend request you a while back so that I could send you a message, but since you haven't logged on since that time, I'll just go ahead an post here. When you read a good book or hear about one, what you do is tell others, correct? So if you see posts on the world wide web about the novel: How Stella Got Her Groove Back, that doesn't mean that Terry McMillan herself is creating all of those posts, correct? It means others have read or have heard about the book and are spreading the news. That's how people support each other, and as African Americans, we should do more of that. Now I do not know Pam or Louis Oliver, I simply did a search on a topic and the book popped up in the google search results. I thought the title was crazy, but so very interesting, so I did look into it. Upon reading the excerpts from the book and also the public comments about the book at the Palm Beach Post review webpage, I felt like the sistas on BA would be interested in the topic since this website is a great arena for discussing Baller's, dating, money, etc.
After reading your comments, I must say that I am glad I am not Pam Oliver because your comments were quite daggering and I felt deep shame for her. Obviously you know much more about Pam and Louis than I do so I will not touch the subject anymore. I only saw them at parties and such and he did try to hit on me once; that's about it. I just thought the book title and review was interesting and so I wanted to open it up for discussion with the ladies of BA. After your comments, I did some more research on the two and found that Louis currently has a talk show on Ustream. Pam is a regular guest on the show, so regarding what was said about him leaving her broke, etc., might be off, otherwise why would she be a constant guest on his show. Now, I may be wrong about their relationship, and like you said, you know everything and I truly believe you, so when you log on, accept my friend request and let's chat chica. Cheers!
