Word is Drake's debut Thank Me Later is done & ready for mass distribution. Set to hit stores June 15th, I guess we'll find out whether he's capable of living up to the hype. Until then, we'll catch as many leaks as possible, the latest Find Your Love, produced by Kanye West flexes Drake's vocal muscle. Marketing wise, based on what I've heard thus far, I believe Thank Me Later will produce big sales.
Love Trumps War, Empathy Trumps Hatred & Compassion Trumps Grief....This Masterpeace Has Been About Unarmored Truth...-Dr. Cornel West
Raheem & all he encompasses is very reminiscent of his predecessors such as Marvin Gaye, Curtis Mayfield & Sam Cooke, just to name a few. Devaughn is as soulful as they come. The release of his third studio album, The Love…Continue
The holiday that most single women love to hate is quickly approaching. Being single as I've been for the past few years used to make me cringe on this particular holiday. From the many cards, stuffed animals, balloons & anything else associated with the holiday drove me crazy. For it reminded me that I was alone. I'd have people ask me what would my plans be, and as usual I'd respond, "The same thing I did last Valentines… Continue
Let's face it, Sade has hits. No matter how old the track might be, when listening, it takes you right back to the moment in which you first heard it. TIMELESS. How many artists' of today can say they create music such as that? Go head, I'll wait. Bottom line, Sade is one of the best to ever do it & as we approach the release of Soldier of Love, I felt the need to take it back. No explanation is needed with Kiss of Life, just enjoy!
Sade has yet to lose her step. After taking a ten year hiatus away from the scene, she's finally making a triumphant return with Soldier of Love. Its in high anticipation & February 9th can't get here any sooner. The video definitely captures your attention & puts its viewer in a military mindset. Not to mention Sade looks undeniably amazing after all these years.
There's reason why musically I fell in love with the Southern Hummingbird Tweet. Love Again just solidified that very thought. You would often wonder what she's been up to since her 2005 release of Its Me Again. It seems she's inked a new deal with Umbrella Records & will be releasing her 3rd studio album, Love, Tweet sometime in 2010. I'm rather sure Missy Elliott will be making some guest appearances off this… Continue
Check out the latest video from Amerie's latest release, In Love & War. Amerie is definitely talented, however, she always seems to fall between the cracks when it comes to this industry. More Than Love is one of those tracks that play on your mental. Ladies, we've been there, done that when it comes to listening to a 3rd party when it comes to our relationships, however, that female intuition is a MOTHA & you know what I mean. I love the… Continue
There's nothing like a bond between parent & child. In Usher's case, he's got double the love to spread around. In recent leaks, I Love You 2 was heavily inspired by his kids, Usher & Naviyd. He's currently in the studio working on his sixth studio album Raymond vs. Raymond which should hit stores sometime in 2010.
In the meantime, check out I Love You 2 & let us know what you… Continue
For everyone who is anxiously awaiting the return of Sade, the wait is finally over. The woman with much grace is making her return to an industry that has definitely yearned for her. She makes timeless music, & like herself, it never ages. One can listen to Sade & definitely get lost. The lead single & title track Soldier of Love is a winner in my book. Her vocals, production & the arrangement says this is an… Continue
Definitely love the concept behind this clip. The live set brings & adds a much more intimate feel to the track. Everything is MUCH better live, that is if you're talented. One Love is one of my favorite tracks off Ready.
Its Young Mulaaa baby! Weezy is having one hell of a year & he's most certainly looking out for his family, which… Continue
Two powerhouse entertainers on one track is monumental. I envisioned a ballad, however, my ears heard otherwise. We're weeks away from the release of The Element of Freedom & my anticipation is growing high. Put It In A Love Song is nice, but different to say in the least. I'm a sucker for a dope beat & this one has definitely drawn me in.
With both their albums due in stores in a few weeks, I said I would turn a deaf ear to any new leaks. However, I couldn't resist. Sue me. Music helps me get through the day. Besides, this beat on Cold Case Love knocks soooo hard, I had to share it. With production by Justin Timberlake & Rob Knox, Rihanna definitely has a heavy hitter on her hands. My opinion this definitely should have been her lead single off Rated R in stores… Continue
Gone are the days of Destiny's Child, however with no pun intended, she is a SURVIVOR. Growing in an industry that changes rapidly like the tide, LeToya has had her shares of facing adversity. Having been in the background for years, she is finally the captain of her ship & is at the forefront of a remarkable career, as a soloist. She was named best new artist in 2006 with her self-titled debut Letoya which topped the charts… Continue
Its been a little over three years since LeToya Luckett debuted as a solo artist. This former member of Destiny's Child returns with her sophomore release, Lady Love, which hits stores officially tomorrow (August 25th). Exploring a new chapter in her life she explains her story through infectious uptempos & heart-felt ballads.
There's tremendous growth when it comes to her content. Having had success in her radio… Continue
Hello to all of my sisters on BA. I need you to hear and understand what I am about to say.
I know most of us tend to prefer black men. I mean why not? They are mostly half of the reason we exist right? Well while that may be true, the fact that love has no color is also true.
I know from experience that being with a fine intelligent black man is like heaven on earth. I also know from experience that being with an Italian man… Continue
How many people have you said “I love you” to? If someone asked me that question, I wouldn’t know how to respond. I have managed to block out some of the love I may have spread over the years, just as some people shrink the number of people they’ve slept with. We’re not callous people here at The Frisky, but some of us have said that phrase when it shouldn’t have been said. Here’s when “I love you” doesn’t necessarily count.
This weekend, Jon Gosselin took his new girlfriend, 22-year-old Hailey Glassman, on a romantic trip to Europe. (FYI, Glassman is a different twentysomething woman than the one Gosselin cheated on his wife with.) Given the high-profile nature of Gosselin’s marriage, impending divorce, and, um, life, it’s hard to understand why anyone would be happy to be this guy’s, well, rebound. Is it just sex? Is Glassman hoping to get wined and dined with some of Gosselin’s “Jon & Kate Plus 8” dollars?… Continue
Writer gets guy friend to tell true or false on why he dumped you excuses
If a guy likes you, but doesn't love you, he will break up with you
Guys do NOT break up with women because "they love you too much"
He might break up with you because he's not finished playing the field

(The Frisky) -- I have a little problem. I tend to obsess over why a guy suddenly pulls "the fade" or ends things just as they're,… Continue

(The Frisky) -- It's no secret that people are getting married later these days than in previous generations, and in this culture of hook-ups and "modern female dating anxiety," we're at no loss for theories that explain why.
Some people say today's twentysomethings are delaying marriage to focus on careers and build close friendships instead, but another explanation paints a less flattering picture of young people.

Editor's note: Alex Wellen's debut novel, "Lovesick," follows a young man on his quest to get married and defeat a crime ring of geriatric gangsters. Wellen is an award-winning producer for CNN. For this article, he interviewed men on how they approached marriage.
(CNN) -- "Well, what do you think?" his dad asked. Brian Lohse knew exactly what his father was getting at.
His father had never pressed him about marriage before. But the question… Continue
