I dont condone abuse, but I can certainly understand downplaying or lying about it.It is a private matter, & probably like Rihanna she has no desire to be the DV posterchild & wants to remain in HER relationship or at least deal with it in her own way without public pressure. The public tends to forget, purchasing a cd or concert ticket does not give a consumer the right to control or judge a celebrity's personal life. Hopefully when she's tired of the drama, she'll leave.She's a grown woman. The defensiveness is unnecessary esp since the cat is outta the bag though.

Regardless of how its handled publicly, I want to know why Drake or Wayne as her self proclaimed "brothers" have not whooped on SB's ass yet? Look how little Nicki is? She's a female...regardless one of them should have defended her so SB knows that doesn't happen again. That's what real family does.......but nah, these fools singing Marvins Room and Say My Name smh

I would imagine they havent gotten involved because:

A. Wayne cant afford another reason to be sent back to jail & Drake...please, lol...he's a lover not a fighter.

B. Even within family, men wont jump to get involved if their "sister" is intent on staying with the dude. What's the point of teaching him a lesson if she's still going to stay with him? If she's lied to the public and media, there's no telling how long it's been going on. This might just be another day in the life of Onika Miraj that Wayne & Drake are used to. The woman is 28 or 29, her daddy tried to burn down the house with her mother in it. She knows what dysfunction looks like. You cant rescue people who dont think they need saving.

To the rest of us, it might look like Blair Underwood and that chick in Madea's Family Reunion who was totally controlled & had to tiptoe around,hoping she wouldnt get hit. To her, it might just be a crazy relationship love tiff that got out of control, nothing serious. Smh. 

All the Wayne intervention in the world wont do any good until she perceives there to be a real problem.

one of my family members was victim of DV, she didn't think she is victim - she justified it to us saying this is how he shows he loves her and he is "real" man, we had to put her in mental institution when she got pregnant and on the 3rd month of pregnancy fetus died because he was beating the living crap out of her, she didn't want to go to the clinic to get the fetus out, she gave it a name and was not believing it's dead, so we had to step up as family and force her to go in. They fixed her head there and she can't believe she did what she did now. But before that no one could tell her nothing - it was her true love and we were just haters.
