Lamar Odom has been having the worst week ever and it's only Wednesday. There have been many rumors about the events leading up to Odom being kicked off the Dallas Mavericks. There were rumors of cocaine abuse, and even most recently rumors of a physical altercation between Odom and MVP Dirk Nowitzki. Now sources are revealing a totally different story.

A Source Tells HSK

“I’ve heard all the rumors and none of them are true. Lamar was arguing with coach Rick Carlisle in the locker room. Mark Cuban entered the locker room and saw Lamar being disrespectful to the coach. So in front of everybody, Mark walked over to Lamar, kicked him in the leg and told him to “Get on the next f*cking plane”.

 

Lamar didn’t do s***, and his teammates just sat there and said nothing while Mark Cuban acted like a slave owner.”

Knowing overzealous Mark Cuban, I don't doubt the plausibility of this happening. Also knowing first hand that the Mavs didn't think that Lamar was pulling his weight and probably could care less about him, it makes the story quite believable.

Mark Cuban told ESPNhis side of the story where he explained how he questioned Odom's commitment to the team during halftime at Memphis. This stemmed from Lamar being late to the Friday home game and the morning meeting in Memphis earlier that day. "And I just asked him, does he want to go for it or not? Is he in or is he out? I think he thought we were playing poker. I just didn't get a commitment. And that was the end," Cuban said. He also said Odom responded to his question angrily and kept repeating "quit playing games".  

When Dirk was asked about his thoughts on Lamar leaving he said "There's nothing to say. It's over," Dirk continued, "I guess as an organization we had to make that move to get him here. Things didn't work out the way we wanted to, so I'm not going to sit here and bash one of my ex-teammates. It is what it is. It didn't work out the way we all hoped, him too I'm sure. Both sides moved on and we've got about eight games left now to make a playoff push here, get some confidence going and we'll go from there. But the situation is over and there's not much to comment anymore." 

Now part 2 of this story itself is comical yet a little sad. What do you do when you have a bunch of Lamar Odom jersey's sitting in stores? According to TMZ, they go on sale for over half off! Although Odom is technically still on the Mavs roster as an inactive player, stores are trying to get rid of all of their Lam Lam merchandise. A jersey that was originally $110 was marked down to $89.99. When that didn't push the jersey out the door, they were marked down yet again to $44.99. Unfortunately that hasn't done much for the sales either. It looks like the store will have to just donate these jerseys to Goodwill if they plan on getting rid of them. 

This hasn't been great for Lam at all! According to Khloe he's been extremely depressed ever since he was traded from the Lakers. This, I'm sure, isn't helping his ego. To make it up to him, Khloe planned a romantic getaway for the two. At least they have reality show money to fall back on.
