wow so many bitter women here. i thought groupies went after guys with money. In this case it looks like HE went after HER while in college, when they both had nothing. And their families were both present when they got engaged. And he's more of a scholar (almost) than an athlete. So a smart, well raised college grad, who happens to be a "baller" in all your eyes gets engaged to a smart, pretty girl he met in college (who happens to be white) and it results in these many bitter, clearly envious, passive aggressive comments? Alas, envy. One of the seven deadly sins is alive and well. Be happy for them. It's not like there's any chance in heck he would have ended up with one of you bitter, salivating women who would only be after his status and money (and nicer wigs for yourself of course).

Hey MJ, no one is bitter here! It's just common sense, he's barely getting his feet wet and he's spending it b4 he gets it. That's why they go broke and start pushing drugs when their career is almost over. Buy something practical and when your contract is 'solid' then you can 'ball out'.

With all the big words you're using in your passive aggressive tone I think you're smarter than that.

Old Spice i'm not at all going to argue about the poor judgment in buying an expensive vehicle before one has money. That is unfortunately just one of these things that a lot of people do when they're young and suddenly get into money or the imminent possibility of money. In his defense though, this is not Allen Iverson or Lebron James who got a $100,000 car as reward for graduating HS and making it into the NBA. This guy had a 4.0 in HS and a graduated college early and towards the top of his class. He's a smart guy and he's clearly well adjusted and well oriented. In regards to the bitter comment - not all, but many of the comments on here seemed to be ragging on him merely for the fact that he's with a woman who is white. Calling him out for it and referring to her negatively. This is a pretty nice relationship to have blossomed in college - not a groupie, "atlanta houswives" or "basketball wives" situation which are actually real life groupies. And beauty is in the eye of the beholder but this girl, objectively, is far from ugly. Not to mention that she's got a head on her shoulders.
