May he rest in peace I really feel bad for the family he has left behind. Suicide is a very selfish act and before you get to that point seek help and think about those who will be left behind.

R.I.P ... May God be with his wife and his kids ... thats hard to lose someone , When u know it could have been avoided ,or simply that they did this to themselves

I feel terrible especially since his mother was beside herself with grief. So sad.

What's horrible is people on twitter saying "they don't respect him since he took his life" and he's "weak" and a bunch of other bulkshit....ppl have NO respect smh

I can agree that suicide is a very selfish act and i can understand why people would be mad at someone who wants to take their own life. At the same time no one was in his shoes and therefore no one can judge.

I don't judge people who take their lives because unless you live in their mind you don't know what demons they deal with. Folks on the outside can say its selfish, but sometimes its those people who are selfish for thinking that it's about THEM. You really don't know what people go through so I try not to even speak on it.

I try not to judge anyone for anything (key word TRY).  Everything I've ever read about him he was a class act with a bright future after football.  BUT, the way he killed himself is similar to:

former Chicago Bears safety Dave Duerson, who died of a self-inflicted gunshot wound to the chest last year. In a suicide note, Duerson had asked his family to donate his brain to the Boston University School of Medicine.

Researchers from that school later determined that Duerson suffered from a neurodegenerative disease linked to concussions, and that the condition played a role in triggering his depression

 

In the last couple years a sport-utility vehicle he was driving went over a beachside cliff and crashed. The accident occurred after he was arrested in Oceanside on suspicion of domestic violence. - Both incidents were truly out of character for him.

 

So you definitely dont know what kind of pain/turmoil he was going through.  And if he was cognizant that he was losing his mind, maybe this was his only solace.  Prayers going up for his familly.
