@DdoubleD, yes the C in C-Walk stood for Crip. However, the C-Walk has been made mainstream since like 2001. Lil Bow was C-Walking when he was like 12. No one thought he was in a gang.

And the bankhead bounce was invented by crackheads.

I love Serena you know what a big middle finger to those that have problems with it. Her and venus came into a sport WE had been shut out of for years and they stay kicking ass and breaking rules... Too many people take themselves WAYYYYYYY too seriously I love that she still has fun kicking ass year after year. Straight outta Compton on that azz!

Serena and Venus are the best of the best, people are going to look for EVERY single reason to hate them period. 

 

@eleven I doubt anyone thinks that she is in a gang but if the entire world is watching you and the dance you decide to to do is associated with a gang people are going to hate.  I don't think it matters if was mainstreamed or not.  I personally don't see anything wrong with it bc it is her choice but at the same time we can't be made at how other perceive it.

i loved the crip walk. sorry! anybody w/a sibling knows that her sis was like i bet you won't do the crip walk after you win the gold metal on the wimbeldon greens. and like a sucker younger sister she gladly took the bet! HAHAHA! i loved it. but knew people were gonna have something to say. she's a horrible loser so it was nice to see her smiling and having fun.

It really doesn't matter who invented what dance- they're all dances, forms of expression.  She wasn't throwing up gang signs while she was doing it- THAT would be stupid.  

She's definitely not losing any endorsements off of a celebratory C-walk, she's clearly not a gang banger lol...  Research her story, her past with Sharapova and Queen Elizabeth and then you can understand why she goes so hard at her and why she celebrated so hard.
