2 Chainz, real name Tauheed Epps, is a successful, college educated, man from College Park, GA. Who better than him to run for Mayor of his hometown? The rapper has already expressed interest and the internet is going nuts over it.
2 Chainz initially expressed his interest in politics in an interview with XXL Magazine. “I’m supposed to be running for mayor in College Park. I got everybody wishing,” On Monday he did an interview with AJC.com saying, “I am looking forward to running at the end of this year or next year. [I’m] waiting to see if I meet all of the qualifications.”
Jack Longino has served as College Park’s mayor since 1996, making him a tough contender for 2 Chainz who’s got a couple of marijuana arrests under his belt. Doesn’t hurt to try, though. He wouldn’t be the first rapper to get into politics and let’s face it, you can’t rap forever.
