Authorities have confirmed at least 20 people have been shot in San Bernardino. Earlier reports say that at least 12 of the victims died. The incident is said to have taken place in a conference room at The Inland Regional Center. Inland Regional Center is a state-run facility for individuals with developmental disabilities. They had just had a holiday party the day before.
Witnesses reported seeing three heavily armed men wearing military-style clothing , ski masks and possibly body armor. Emergency crews were called about 11:30 a.m local time and a bomb squad has also been called. The shooters are still at large, fleeing the scene in a black SUV.
Police are still trying to determine the exact number of victims. San Bernardino police Sgt. Vicki Cervantes told CBS Los Angeles that “there are multiple casualties and there are some confirmed fatalities.”
