Amidst reports that Adrian Peterson will be suiting up for the Minnesota Vikings game this Sunday, another abuse accusation is being thrown at him. This time he’s being accused of doing harm to another one of his sons when his son was just four years old.
KHOU News uncovered text messages and photos between Peterson and his baby mama, stemming from 2013. In the photo Peterson’s then 4 year old is seen with bandaids over an apparent head wound. Allegedly authorities took no action a year ago.
According to KHOU-TV the text exchange was as follows:
Mother: “What happened to his head?”
Peterson: “Hit his head on the Carseat.”
Mother: “How does that happen, he got a whoopin in the car.”
Peterson: “Yep.”
Mother: “Why?”
Peterson: “I felt so bad. But he did it his self.”
Then Peterson explains he whooped the child for cursing at another sibling. When the mother asked what he hit the child with Peterson says, “Be still n take ya whooping he would have saved the scare (scar). He aight.”
The Vikings of decided not to comment further but did mention they had been made aware of the incident. There’s no word on what is going to be done with this newfound information. This whole thing sounds like Adrian Peterson needs to know his own strength and if he can’t get that in check, stop disciplining these kids. He’s going to get himself in too much trouble.
