Allen Iverson Desperate To Play In NBA + Organizing Vegas All Star Game

My favorite former NBA Baller is ready to get his act right and is ready and willing for any NBA team to pick him up. That’s right ANY. Allen Iverson tells Yahoo Sports, “I’ll play for anybody.” This being a shocker from the player who once was very choosy about his team and his playing time. Not one to appreciate being the 6th man, Iverson’s past behavior has turned quite a few teams off of him. Allen has “The Answer” for that actually:

“That wasn’t me at all,” Iverson said. “Obviously, I was dealing with the situation with my daughter and going through a divorce, and I wasn’t there mentally. In my career those last couple years were so hard for me because I wasn’t there. Mentally, I wasn’t there.

“During those 48 minutes on the basketball court, all I [ever] cared about was that time right there. Nothing else distracted me. But at times, I felt myself standing on the court just thinking about my daughter, thinking about the situation with me and my wife. I wasn’t giving [the teams] everything I had mentally.”

I truly hope A.I. gets his life together and gets his final shot in the NBA. He doesn’t have much time yet, but he’s a great player that when given the opportunity, can close it out and win games.

In other news A.I. is helping organize an All Star Classic game in Vegas and is calling on Kevin Durant, Amare Stoudemire, Matt Barnes, Paul Pierce & more. On Saturday, November 12th, Four teams will play for $100,000. The games will be at 11am and 2pm at the Thomas and Mack on the strip. This is the same weekend as the Pacquiao-Marquez fight. NICE!!!
