Another Arrest Warrant Issued For Darren Sharper

There has been another arrest warrant issued for Darren Sharper. This headline is becoming so common that I cannot keep up with whether or not I’ve already written this blog. But in the event I haven’t, here goes. After posting $200,000 bail in his Los Angeles case, New Orleans Police have issued a warrant for Sharper’s arrest and he and an acquaintance (26 yr old Erik Nunez) face two charges of aggravated rape. This stems from an incident in September 2013. No word on if these are the same New Orleans women who had come forward before, or if these are two new cases. This adds to the growing list of Sharper rape allegations in Los Angeles, Miami, Las Vegas & Tempe, AZ.

 

One of the New Orleans women says she met Sharper at an event for Saints players and was given a drink by Sharper. After that there is a gap in memory spanning over several hours. She says that she woke up the next morning with Sharper on top of her sexually assaulting her. The other New Orleans woman tells a similar story of being given a drink by Sharper and once analyzed, the glass was found to contain a prescription sleep medication.

Sharper surrendered to Los Angeles police without incident Thursday evening.
