Baller Alert Radio – Episode 11 – Bu Thiam & Drekia Glenn Talk “Like A Boss”, Working With Chris Brown, Tracee Ellis Ross, DJ Drama vs. Jeezy & More

Baller Alert Radio sat down with Bu Thiam and Drekia Glenn, stars of Oxygen’s hit docu-series, “Like A Boss.” The show follows four young people from different walks of life as they climb the ladder to become the bosses they strive to be. Each cast member goes through the trials and tribulations of being an assistant to a major key player in the industry. It’s not an easy task and they quickly find out.

Drekia Glenn, who’s worked as an assistant to independent artists before, links up with music executive Bu Thiam in hopes of some day becoming a mega-entrepreneur. For those not familiar with Bu Thiam, not only is he Akon’s younger brother, he’s the former Def Jam exec who brought us such talents as T-Pain, Lady Gaga, Jeremih and many more. He also executive produced Kanye & Jay Z’s “Watch The Throne,” Rihanna’s “Loud” and “Talk That Talk” and managed Chris Brown during one of the most difficult times of his career — his comeback!

We sat down with @Drekia and @__Bu to discuss how things have changed since the show wrapped. We discuss Drekia’s thoughts about how she appeared on the show and what she thinks she would change. We also have a special guest @DJDrama stop by, who reminisces with Bu about the good ol’ days in Atlanta, coming up in the industry together and how Bu was the person who helped DJ Drama & Young Jeezy reconcile their differences.

Of course we asked Bu about working with Chris Brown, Rihanna, and his ex-girlfriend Tracee Ellis Ross. Bow Wow SORT OF gets a mention. All that and more on Episode 11. Check it out below and subscribe to Baller Alert Radio on iTunes.
