I love the way she does nails; I will not take that away from her, but her Twitter and Tumblr depict her to be slightly discriminative towards Black people. Check the screenshots:

That's probably what they say about us while we're at the "nail shop" getting our nails done and we dont even understand what they're saying! I can't tell what race she is by the pic, but it's hard to find middle ground when looking for a good nail tech. If you want a quick manicure that's affordable, you almost HAVE to go to a vietnemese or whatever nail shop because if you DO find a black nail tech, she is never there, or she charges $20-$25 for a manicure whereas, at the other chop you can get a mani-pedi special for $25.

 

The one my friend goes to looks like a chop shop! manicure tables lined up with the nail techs wearing masks, customers NOT wearing a mask, STRONG smell of acryllic, kids running around, hustle man selling fake purses, people talking lound of their phone, unsanitized nail impliments, they DRILL everybody's nail beds...ugh! What happened to nail FILES!

 

But then if you dont want that, you're gonna have to pay $25-30 for a simple maincure, doesnt seem to be any middle ground.

 

Went to a nail salon, no one wsa there, Some girl comes out the back with SWV nails Talking about you have to make an appointment. I looked around like "um, no one's here" Then she said she'd do my nails. I'm like, how could she possibly do a proper manicure with those dragon nails. Part of a manicure is a hand massage. I'm sure chicks with those kinds of nails have found a way to do a manicure, but I wasnt about to pay to find out! Then I ask if they take debit. NOPE! So i say I'll be back, i'll go to an ATM. I did not go back.

 

I want to open one myself, but I'm confliced because of how hard it is to find a good, PROFESSIONAL African-American nail tech. One thing I can say is that the "others" have a good work ethic because they'll be in the shop whether there is a customer or not. A black chick, no customer, no nail tech.

Yea I like her nails but shes super ignorant. Wont be doing my nails. And yes where I get my nails done they have a mani and pedi special for 25 bucks. And its freaking amazing. This broad can kick rocks with an old navy flip flop on. Smh

I agree with Honeycoated @ seeing better.. anyone in the NYC Area should try valley nails they have some great nail artists...
