BALLERIFIC MUSIC REVIEW: TREY SONGZ-READY

Music is all about progression. As an artist if you're not making strides to progress then you're not giving the masses what they expect of you. Trey Songz stepped on the scene back in 2005 with Just Gotta Make It, just two short years after that his solo release Trey Day showed he was an artist that had what it took to withstand this dog eat dog industry. If you had the opportunity to check for his latest mix tape Anticipation you'd know it was the prelude to Ready which hit stores today.
As an artist three albums into his career his progression has been steadfast. The content is strictly for mature audiences only. Believe me, I wasn't ready for this. The intro Panty Droppa sets the tone for the remainder of the album. Unlike the latter albums, this is very fluid in its transition minus the current single LOL
His vocal maturation comes in the intimate yet very metaphoric Jupiter Love, which is to be played while candles are lit in the place made for the experienced lover in you. There are a few other highlights to this album such as Neighbors Know My Name, Love Lost & Does He Do It, just to name a few.
Trey is super talented. He entered this industry a few short years ago trying to make it, & with this release there's no doubt in my mind that he won't be successful, the question still remains are you READY?
