Bill Romanowski Gets Dragged By Twitter After Letting Racist “Boy” Remark Fly

Between Beyonce and Cam Newton, racism has been flying high on social media over the past few days. It seems like many people couldn’t help but show their true colors, many getting dragged for it.

Bill Romanowski, a former NFL football player who last played for the Raiders in 2003, is a prime example of someone who got dragged for being comfortably racist. The 4x Super Bowl champ’s career is riddled with bad conduct on the field.  In 1995, while with the Eagles,  he was ejected for kicking Cardinals’ Larry Centers in the head. While playing for the Broncos in 97 he was involved in a helmet to helmet hit with Panthers Kerry Collins, breaking Collins’ jaw. In the same year he also spit in J.J. Stokes of the 49ers face. In 1999, he was fined $42.5k for 3 illegal hits and a punch thrown at Chiefs Tony Gonzalez, and throwing a football at Brian Cox of the Jets. And this is all before we even get to Y2k.

In 2003, Romanowski attacked and injured one of his teammates, Marcus Williams, during a scrimmage. Romanowski confronted Williams after a play, ripped off his helmet, and crushed his eye socket with a punch. Williams was forced to retire. He was only 26.

So it’s clear here that Bill Romanowski isn’t the most respectable player in football history. So when Cam Newton prematurely exited the post-game interviews following his Super Bowl loss against the Broncos, we didn’t expect good ol’ Bill to have much to say. Of course, we were wrong.

“You will never last in the NFL with that attitude. The world doesn’t revolve around you, boy! #CamNewton,”  Romanowski tweeted. It didn’t take long before every one on Twitter pointed out Romanowski’s use of the word “boy” against Cam Newton, a 26 year old man.

While getting drug by his thin hair follicles, Romanowski took to Twitter again to backtrack. “Calm down everyone! I meant he needs to grow up,” he tweeted. Then finally, apologizing because the wrath of Black Twitter wouldn’t let up, “I apologize for that remark ‘boy’. It was not intentional or even trying to disrespect others. Peace everyone.”

Considering Romanowski is a vile, admitted steroid user, who played the game of football dirty throughout his entire career, no one wants his advice on manners and sportsmanship.
