Jack’s mind began to wonder as he drove to what seemed to be an endless road to nowhere. His female companion was asleep and bothering her would only mean no playtime later. It funny how he let her have that little bit of control over him. It was funny that Katrina was still on his mind. They were hundreds of miles from the college town of Wingate and yet he felt as if he were only 5 miles away. Unfinished business he thought as he continued down the road to nowhere. ‘You should have finished the job. How could you do something so stupid as to let them live?’ He remembered his companions’ not so happy greeting as he drove on pass a Motel 6 sign. She was right her supposed. He should have killed them after he had his fun. He did have plenty of time to do so but for some strange reason he didn’t. Was it because he felt sorry for them in a way? Damien the tall and well built young man with enough bulk in muscle to take down the best line backer on the foot team was lying in a pool of his own blood helpless as his Katrina his girl was being raped by him. Maybe that’s why he decided not to kill them but then again …maybe not. He didn’t know the answer as of yet but he knew that she would bug him about it tot eh point where he would probably try to kill her. ‘Women could be so annoying.’ He thought as he glanced at dash board. He still had a long way to go and no one to keep his company. He could change that by waking her up. ‘Do I really want to?’ he thought to himself. ‘Maybe.’

“Don’t even think about it.” Her heard a familiar voice say.

“What makes you think I’m thinking about something?” he asked his once sleeping companion.

“I know you well enough to know that you were about to do something stupid. You’re always thinking about something and then you do it. Sometimes if you want to be really annoying you’ll do it with a reason. How far are we now?” she asked.

“Too far…we still got a few hundred miles to go be for we get to Chicago. Remember we took a very long detour but we’ll get there.” He assured.

“Good. I checked the messages when we get back there is a job you have to do. It should be quick and painless. Nothing you haven’t handled before. I already have all the information on what you’ll be doing. I want to review first and then we will go over it together. When it’s my turn to drive it will be your turn to read.”

“Yes ma’am…and when it’s my time to kill. It’ll be your time to watch. You haven’t seen me work.”

“And I would prefer not to. You do your job and I’ll do mine.” She said.

“You’re no fun.”

A/N: This is a preview of The Other Son part 2. I think I might call it Black Horse. Let me know what you think is is a preview after all. This will be the next story from me after Jack and Kay is done,
