Blue Ivy Petition Creator Says “Stop Being So Serious, It Was A Joke”

The young lady who was responsible for starting the petition to get Beyonce and Jay Z to comb Blue Ivy’s hair says that the real people to blame is society because obviously her petition was a joke.

“It just goes to show how dumb people are to believe I would really deep down start a petition to comb [Blue Ivy’s] hair and be dead serious,” writes Jasmine. The problem is, you DID start a petition. That is a fact. Now, I don’t know about you but I don’t jump on change.org to create petitions as a joke and I’m sure when Jim Crow was around, our ancestors didn’t petition as a joke either. Joke or no joke, it doesn’t change the fact Jasmine clearly has too much time on her hands. In fact, it’s even more evident that she is bored. Dumb and bored. Don’t blame society because you felt the need to write a full thesis on the hair follicles of a toddler. That’s not society’s doing, that’s you and the 1,500 idiots that signed the stupid petition. You call it trolling, I call it a young lady needing to find a hobby.

Jasmine then goes on to explain how petitions work and why society is dumb for taking her serious. I think the point Jasmine is missing is that no one thinks under any circumstances that her petition was going to get CPS involved and they were going to snatch Blue from Beyonce & Jay over lack of Pink Oil Moisturizer. That was NOT the point. The point was the fact that you had enough time in your day to create such petition and share it online, over something as asinine as hair. Natural, African American hair. Not just any hair, the hair of a two year old child. Whether you created a petition or a full on tumblr, bashing her hair is not important enough for the effort that it was given. THAT is the point.

So to Jasmine, you are the prime example as to why the internet is a dangerous place for people who are bored and seek attention. It gives you tools to do things, and a platform to show your stupidity for the world to see. Sometimes you just have to unplug.
