Bulls Taj Gibson Ejected In Game 5, Could He Face Suspension? (VIDEO)

Chicago Bulls’ Taj Gibson was ejected last night for kicking Cavs’ Matthew Dellavedova and could possibly face suspension for Game 6, something that could be damaging to the Bulls’ playoff chances.

During the 4th Quarter of Game 5 in Cleveland, Gibson and Dellavedova came down hard. Their legs were interlocked (or did Dellavedova grab him, hmm…) and Gibson lost his cool, kicking Dellavedova after his leg was freed. Before things got too heated, Dellavedova’s team mates broke it up and Gibson was ejected.

Things didn’t get any better for Gibson after being ejected, either. As he was headed off the court, a fan threw something at him. A furious Gibson went to confront the fan but unfortunately couldn’t identify who it was. Sideline reporter Rachel Nichols reports that Gibson later referred to Cavs fans as “classless” saying that this was the second time they’ve thrown things at him.

The NBA has yet to decide whether or not Taj will face a suspension for the Dellavedova kick, and that may be a good thing. If they haven’t spoken on it by now, it may not happen.
