Chris Brown Denied Visa to Tour Australia

It seems there’s been a minor setback to Chris Brown’s “One Hell Of A Night” tour. Australia reportedly denied his visa application on Friday.

In 2009 Chris Brown pleaded guilty to assaulting his then girlfriend, Rihanna. We know that, everyone keeps bringing it up. Unfortunately, Australia hasn’t forgotten about it. On Thursday women’s minister, Michaelia Cash, said that she would be strongly suggesting Chris not be let in to Australia.  “I can assure you that the minister for immigration and border protection will be looking at this very, very seriously,” she said.

“People need to understand if you are going to commit domestic violence and then you want to travel around the world, there are going to be countries that say to you, ‘You cannot come in because you are not of the character we expect in Australia,’ and certainly, without pre-empting the decision of the minister, I can assure you it is something that the minister is looking at,” Cash added. Keep in mind Chris Brown has toured in Australia twice since his conviction, in 2011 and 2012. Michaelia Cash became the women’s minister on the 21st of September. Maybe she had more of a say-so than she thought.

All is not lost, however. Chris can still appeal within 28 days. He must present material to Australia’s Department of Immigration and Border Protection telling them why they should be grant him a visa.

We’re crossing our fingers for you, Chris!
