CINCO DE MAYO - MARGARITAS FOR EVERYONE!!!

The Blood Orange Margarita
Ingredients
1 lime wedge and coarse salt, preferably Maldon, for rim
Ice
2 ounces tequila, preferably Sauza Hornitos
1 1/2 ounces fresh lime juice
1/4 ounce orange liqueur, preferably GranGala
1/2 ounce simple syrup (boil equal parts sugar and water, then cool)
3/4 ounce blood orange puree
1 lime wheel
ENJOY!
Moisten the outside of a rocks glass with the lime wedge. Sprinkle a little salt on a small plate and dip the moistened rim in the salt to coat it lightly. Fill the glass and a cocktail shaker with ice. Add the tequila, lime juice, orange liqueur, simply syrup and blood orange puree to the shaker and shake vigorously. Strain into the glass, garnish with the lime wheel and serve.
