Dallas Cowboys Waive Michael Sam From Practice Squad

First the St. Louis Rams say goodbye to Michael Sam and now the 6-1 Dallas Cowboys have followed suit.

Michael Sam joined the Cowboys on September 3rd and according to Nick Eatman of DallasCowboys.com, was waived to sign linebacker Troy Davis.

“I want to thank the Jones family and the entire Cowboys organization for this opportunity, as well as my friends, family, teammates and fans for their support. While this is disappointing, I will take the lessons I learned here in Dallas and continue to fight for an opportunity to prove that I can play every Sunday,” Sam posted to his Twitter account earlier today.
