Deion Sanders' Daughter Joins Bikini Basketball League
Most dads would be happy that their kids are into sports. Especially if that dad is Hall of Famer Deion Sanders. However, Deion Sanders isn't exactly happy about the news that his 21 year old daughter has joined the Atlanta PEach bikini basketball team. Deiondra agreed to be part of the start up league, joining former WNBA players as well as female ballers that played overseas. It's no different than lingerie football and lots of cities are starting bikini teams. The league plans to begin playing in May 2013 starting with 8 teams.
“My dad was kind of upset, but that’s like any parent who just sees bikini league,” Deiondra told Jeff Sammut of 590 The Fan in Toronto. “He thought I was gonna be out there in a bikini. He [saw] a picture of our uniform and stuff like that, so I think once he saw that we’re actually covered up a little bit, he wasn’t as concerned.”
For the record, although it's called a "bikini league" the players actually wear boy shorts and sports bras. Would you let your daughter play bikini basketball? Deion Jr currently plays football like his dad.
