@Cougar Spice, exactly. Younger people are very impressionable. You can't keep kids sheltered for long. And like Cookie Pie said, I won't buy their shit period...and it goes deeper than just videos. I'm more concerned about the younger generation of black girls that are coming up. Like I said, black women should take a stand...

And Yeah there are a lot important issues in the world but to say color isn't one of them is outright false. Our skin color is why our ancestors were drugged over here in the first place. Our skin color is why some are considered House Negroes and others Field Negroes...Our skin color is the reason why we're still fighting for equality...And someone mentioned the president...that's a perfect example of proving skin color matters...The man is half white, but yet there are almost always racist remarks and stereotypes made in regards to him. Tens of millions voted against him because of his skin color. If Bush had not f'd up this country and economy so bad, trust there would not even be a President Obama.Please stop acting like skin color doesn't matter when blatant racism is still going on today, and now it's even more prevalent amongst ourselves.

Oh and let me just add this...This discussion and my opinions have nothing to do with me being insecure with myself or my skin color...I've had no trouble getting attention from a man...no matter his race...I'm not even what most blacks consider to be dark-skinned...But that doesn't mean I can't see that big ass pink elephant sitting in the room...

@ California. You are right there alot of things going on in the world AND THIS IS ONE OF THEM. The way black ppl are perceived in the media is the reason why Pres Obama and his wife Michelle are talked about on a daily basis. Having a black pres is a step in the right direction but we have a million more steps to go. Its funny that the Hispanic ladies say its all about opportunity and business so they can stay ikn the game but when I watch latino videos and shows, latino's come in a array of colors just like african american's and there is no short supply of women of all colors to represent them (latino's) so why cant we do the same and show the love? All this time and all the things african american's have had to go through we are still trippin..damn shame!

I mean this isn't anything new....but it just has gotten worst! Because at least in the 90's you would see some chocolate females in the videos..now it's mainly about exotic light skin females. A better discussion would be how I don't ever see a super thick chicks or a big chicks in these dang on videos!! And if they are in a video they are being made fun of or in a joking manner. No one ever wants to bring that up how the super thick chicks or a big chicks don't get no LOVE in the music industry.
