DO YOU DATE FOR FUN...OR TO GET MARRIED?

  • Rating: No Rating

(Sidenote - look at Khloe in the background looking jealous - lol)

Kim Kardashian told PEOPLE:
"So many people rush into it and it's all this pressure because they see we've been together for a while," the reality star, who has been dating Reggie Bush since 2007, told PEOPLE at this weekend's Race to Erase MS gala in Los Angeles. "But, we're heading there. When we're ready, we'll know."
So "heading there" means it's a strong possibility?

"Definitely," Kardashian, 28, said two days earlier at The Pink Agenda Toasts Mother's Day event in L.A. "I mean I think that it's in our future. We've been together two years but we are taking our time and I think hopefully this one will last because of that. We're just totally dating and normal and happy and there's no rush."

I have a friend that will meet a guy and the next day she will say "he is marriage material" I'm thinking to myself...how do you know that quick? Do you ladies date to have fun..or do you date for marriage?

Most men I know would run from the quote above that Kim gave to PEOPLE. Most men hate the marriage word...and when you start talking about it too much they run the opposite direction.

Question for the Ladies: Do you date for the sole purpose of getting married?

Question for the Men: When women constantly talk about marriage when you haven't popped the question...does that turn you off?

Thoughts?

When I was dating I dated for fun.. I think in order to maintain a relationship you have to date for fun as well..nobody wants to feel that pressure looming over their head!

I use to date for the sole purpose of fun, but as I get older I look for men that have something else to bring to the table besides a good time. I guess it's a little bit of both for me.

I know date for marriage. I do date fun men, but they know what I'm looking for from the jump. I don't date every guy I meet (all the time), I'm very selective now and have gotten better at turning men down.

I used to just date for fun, and to get a free meal, but now I'm looking for something more committed and more exclusive and long term. So when I date now it is for a different reason.

I date for fun but I don't do 'exclusivity' unless I think marriage is at least a possibility. But it seems like most people will be exclusive just b/c they like someone...I need more than that to say you're my man.

Oh yeah, I don't believe Elin found out via Media Takeout. They're good for posting news stories from news sources and pasting their name into them. I'm wondering when online news sources will call them out on that. They aren't satisfied posting a...

IDK what's wrong with these people and their beliefs this is just crazy. Reminds me of them thinking that having sex with young girls cures them of aids. That mentality is definitely from the dark ages. SMMFH

Great post OG! I especially love the last paragraph. That's not just when you're trying to get to the next level with a baller, but with any men. If you are reaching just to get him to be exclusive to you, you are failing.
