For Women Who Want The Ballerific Life!
So, we live in a society that demands name brands- even tho the economy SUCKS, everyone feels a need to prove their worth by carrying this LV bag, or wearing THOSE Chanel glasses, etc. We all know though that you don’t drive a Ford Focus, and carry a real Louis Vuitton- doesn’t happen- Not trying to call anyone out here ladies, but let’s just be honest with ourselves, HOPEFULLY you’d want a nicer car rather than a purse…. Just assuming here, anyway let’s keep it moving shall we.
The point I’m trying to make is that we all know what it’s like to either own something ourselves that’s a knockoff, or have friends that own fake merchandise and attempt to pass it off as real. We never think twice because its us, or our girls- no biggie? So what happens when you’re out for a night with the ladies, looking good and you’re approached by a lovely man who’s also looking good? He’s got it all right- smelling nice, hair just right, you notice a few brand names, maybe Burberry shirt, nice but understated Movado watch, basically he is just right. So the story goes y’all exchange numbers, date a little bit, start seriously dating, things are going all fine and great- then you find out- all of his nice, name brand things- FAKE. Ladies- FAKE as your eyelashes, or as your weave, girls just FAKE.
That Benz he drives- leased…. Apartment he lives in, mama co-signed, and most likely a lot of the bills are in her name too, due to his shitty credit or lack of credit. Youre totally blindsided right? I mean a fake purse is way different than a fake life. We all remember the song “No Scrubs”, and you finally meet THAT guy that is what that song was written about. What’s the next step here?
If you're casually dating, no big deal to cut that s*** out of your life, but what if you’ve been together for a pretty decent amount of time? What if we’re talking like at least 9months –a year, you have all these feelings for this man, feel secure that he can take care of you- then the bottom falls out and you find out it was all a front. Would you leave him? Would you confront him? How would you handle that, especially if you’re guilty of having fake s*** too? Maybe not a fake life, but still you have some stuff that’s not legit as well- so are you being a hypocrite to leave him, or judge him? Do you feel deceived? Do you then divulge that half of your s**** a knock off too? What do you do ladies???
My personal opinion- I spend my money for myself on Quality. I know the name brands I buy, I do it for the Quality- they’ll last for at least 3 years, and will have paid for themselves by then. However, I LOVE the clearance section of the stores as well. I pick and choose what do I want to but at full price, and what to I buy on a very good sale? I love thrift stores- I found a really nice Cole Hann bag at a thrift store for $6!! So, my advice about this is maybe try- TRY if you can not to feel personally offended, that he wasn’t forth coming, maybe just have him tone it down a bit. Let him know you don’t think he needs to go So far with all the brands maybe, but if you’re into him let him know you’re into him. What do a few knock offs really bother, unless he tries to act like to everyone he’s holding s*** down financially that hardcore that he afford all these things authentic And brand new- then you may have a douche on your hands- but what are yalls experiences ladies? Very interested in hearing these comments!!
