Emily B Says Do Not Compare Her To Mimi, They Are Not The Same
In a recent interview with HelloBeautiful.com Emily talked a little about Love & Hip Hop New York being compared to Love & Hip Hop Atlanta and how she doesn't appreciate the comparisons because she isn't like any of them.
"You know I get a little upset when they compare characters because I’m nothing like any of those women. My story is not like any of those stories. I don’t see Fab in any of those men in that show at all. No offense to them, but nobody knows [how it is]. Y’all get to see the Stevie J’s and the Lil’ Scrappy’s and nobody really knows who Fab is or what he does or what he’s about. People just make assumptions and it really bothers me because he was never on camera for you to make that assumption so people really don’t know.
I mean I spoke to Mimi and watching her I felt for her. I understand how it feels to love someone and feel that pain, but I’ve never been through anything that she’s been through. Fab only has one child with me so I don’t know what that feels like to have a man with many. I’ve never dealt with anything on that level in my life. Her story is a strong powerful story that I can’t even imagine going through."
Oh Emily. No offense because Emily was one of my favorites on Love & Hip Hop but she has to be blind if she can't see where the Mimi comparisons are coming from. To name a few, she cried nearly every episode about Fabolous and his infidelity yet she never really left him. Sounds oddly familiar to Mimi's situation. Kimbella had sex with Fab while Emily was pregnant. Sounds similar to Mimi's love triangle. If anything, Mimi has it better because at least her cheating boyfriend claimed her. Emily couldn't get Fab to take a family photo let alone claim her in public. Emily and Fab are together now of course, but I can't help but wonder when she and Adrienne Bailon became BFF's when rumor has it Fab was cheating on Emily with Adrienne. So how exactly is her situation different from Mimi?

Though I see your side of it Eleven, I do see Emily as different from Mimi. First, Emily B is working and has her own career as a stylist and an upcoming fashion line. What does Mimi do exactly? Second, Emily did leave Fab during the first season.

@Carla Mimi has a successful cleaning business that she's actually expanding to interior design. Mimi also left Stevie....Emily went back. Mimi might go back too. Again, they're similar lol

Mimi & Emily both let the world see how pathetic they are so for that they are similar. Other similarities are accepting infidelity, whining each and every episode about how the men dog them, and giving verbal threats and not meaning it. They are similar as f***!

Only difference is that we've never seen Em cuss Fab out... And Kimbella doesn't have Jose's horrible ass accent... Other than that, the same...

She is right. Her and Mimi are nothing alike. Mimi has only been caught crying on this show once. Emily cried every episode. Mimi is not afraid to tell people how she feels. Emily is a mute. Mimi handled the side chick like a grown woman. Emily had her little minion sucker punch her. Emily is barely a stylist. Cut it out yall. Every b**** in the hood is a stylist these days huh? Even Fab's other b****, Sanniyah *drops drink all over self*.
